Reader's Theater:
An Acting Class for Grades 1-2
Utilizing materials from Scholastic and other educational resources, our Reader's Theater class is designed for the youngest actors in our midst, the first through second graders. These young children have an imagination just ready to jump into plays, but may be too young to try their hand at a full-length play.
Reader's Theater is just for them! Combining games and activities with a weekly script, this class aims to help students with their reading and creative thinking skills. These classes are five weeks and include a small tuition of $75 per student. All materials are included with the tuition.
Reader's Theater is taught by Josef Silvia, who has an MA in educational studies as well as over 16 years working with children. Our next Reader's Theater class is scheduled to begin in January 2023. More information will be available as we get closer to January 2023.
