About Us
YFE Theatrical Productions began as the theatrical division of Yellow Fun Entertainment in the Fall of 2015. After having some limited success with a Halloween show, Josef grew the division to oversee production of children's acting workshops, classes, yearly Spring and Fall shows. As the division grew, Josef knew that in order to create stability and continued success for theater in his community, the division needed to break away from the main company.
In August 2018, YFE Theatrical Productions became a non-profit community theater for children and families. We currently offer two community theater shows a year, holding auditions every January for both. Our Fall shows are for families, whomever your family is. Typically these shows are for audiences 12+ and are either shows from classic theater or Holiday themed.
Our Spring shows are for children audiences and their families. Each Spring show is based on either a fairytale or work from classic literature, thus nurturing the child's spirit to want to read. All live performance shows are One Weekend Only events, performing on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Our current peformance venue is Fellowship Bible Church in Dedham, MA. Rehearsals currently take place at the Motherbrook Arts & Community Center in Dedham, MA.

YFE Staff
Josef Silvia
President & Artistic Director
Josef Silvia hails from Plymouth, MA. He cut his teeth in theater by apprenticing Priscilla Beach Theatre's School of Theater, learning all he could during the five intense years he worked there before becoming an adjunct faculty member for another five. During his high school, college and grad school years, Josef wrote, directed, and performed in many shows for PBT. However, it was the writing, directing and producing that caught Josef's eye. Eventually, when he became a children's pastor, Josef produced a few holiday and summer shows for the churches he worked at. In 2011, he moved to the Boston area and quickly became involved with multiple theater companies in and around the Boston area. This eventually led to the creation of YFE Theatrical Productions, Inc. Josef is extremely proud if YFE, its success, and continuing mission to bring affordable, uplifting family entertainment to all. He currently presides as executive producer over all productions and main staff director of the Family Theater Shows.
Sarah Feeney
Publicity Manager & Children's Theater Director
Sarah is in her second year as a member of YFE Productions Staff. She co-directed the 2020 show Peter Pan and is currently directing the 2021 Children's Theater Show, THE WIZARD OF OZ. She has worked as an actor for the company in previous years, appearing in Cinderella and Miracle on 34th Street. When she's not helping Josef with projects, Sarah is a nanny. She enjoys spending the rest of her little free time watching way too much TV and ordering take out with her cat. She has loved helping YFE become a family favorite for all ages through social media and other marketing. Even through the challenges of 2020 she loves the positive force YFE is in her life. Most importantly she will be focusing on community outreach like working with other local organizations like the Dedham Square Circle, to bring new and unique opportunities for the Arts to the community, especially in the post pandemic world. Her passion shines through the most when on stage or directing her fellow actors to produce the quality productions YFE has become known for.
