Staged Radio Plays
In December 2023, we began producing yearly staged radio plays under the banner "YFE Theater on the Air." These radio plays take place in a fictional 1940s radio studio are are performed live as a staged reading with accompanying sound effects. In 2024, we began taking these staged radio plays to senior centers and nursing homes free of charge within the Greater-Boston area. Our goal with these staged radio plays is to offer simple yet professional, dynamic, and uplifting entertainment to those who gave us so much. We also plan to take these staged radio plays to schools and libraries in an effort to help make literature fun for students of all ages.
We also co-produce with Yellow Fun Entertainment, these staged radio plays as audio radio dramas for our community-at-large and release these radio dramas on their YouTube Channel. Our most recent radio drama was A Christmas Carol in December 2024. It performed at two nursing homes and is available to listen to on YouTube. Our next audio radio drama will be Pygmalion.
